Grand Opening Success during Lingr’s First Week
|
You are invited to discover Lingr, St. Pete’s newest and freshest concept, which features a menu of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients as well as craft beers, cocktails, and an extensive wine selection. For years, Chef Jeffrey Jew dreamed of opening a restaurant that paid homage to his unique Nordic and Asian ancestral blend. Then, he devoted himself to planning every single detail. On June 7, 2021, Chef Jew’s dream became a reality as he stood next to Mayor Rick Kriseman and members of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce to cut the ribbon in front of his new, solo-venture restaurant, Lingr. Local media and food bloggers were also in attendance at the ribbon-cutting ceremony where they enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and light jazz notes provided by Chandler, a local saxophone player and sauté cook in Lingr’s kitchen. Lingr is Chef Jew’s merge of traditional Nordic and Asian influences, preparations, and ingredients that gives a taste of what he calls “the style of food I grew up with.”
Grand opening festivities continued throughout the week with nightly Friends & Family dinners to effectively reveal the venue and the concept of this upscale-casual eatery and bar. From Tuesday’s 44 guests through Friday’s 95 guests as well as a private event Saturday night, Lingr’s kitchen and bar has received rave reviews from patrons. Delicious cocktails inspired from the elements representing Chinese 5 Spice as well as delectable desserts were especially enjoyed and guest favorites include Smoked Lion’s Mane Mushrooms, Spicy Chili Garlic Shrimp Dumplings, and a Grilled Koji-aged Ribeye with Cantonese Curry and Corn Fried Rice. With a sleek, modern, upscale décor and atmosphere, guests marveled at the textures and design of the restaurant. The week’s gorgeous weather was perfect for experiencing the expansive, luxurious, nautical-style dining patio.
